Privacy policy
This policy explains what personal data Ecomtaxy collects, why, and your choices, in line with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and other applicable law.
What we collect
- Contact details you give us: name, phone, email and your enquiry.
- Identity and business documents needed for a filing you have asked for, such as PAN, Aadhaar, address proof and bank details.
- Website usage data collected through Microsoft Clarity, such as pages viewed, clicks and scrolling, used to understand and improve how the site works.
Why we use it
- To reply to your enquiry and prepare a quote.
- To prepare and submit registrations and filings you have engaged us for.
- To meet legal record-keeping requirements.
We do not sell personal data or use your documents for marketing.
Who receives it
The government portals and platforms you register with (for example MCA, GST, IP India, Udyam, Amazon, Flipkart), and service providers we use to run our business, such as email and messaging providers and Microsoft (Clarity website analytics).
How long we keep it
We keep personal data only as long as needed to provide the service and meet legal record-keeping requirements.
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct or erase your data, or withdraw consent, subject to legal retention requirements. Contact our grievance officer below.
Terms and engagement
Scope
Each engagement is defined by the written quote you accept. Anything not listed there is outside scope and will be quoted separately.
No guarantee of outcome
Approvals are decided by government authorities and platforms. Ecomtaxy does not guarantee any registration, approval, trademark grant or account activation, or the time an authority takes.
Your responsibilities
- Provide accurate, complete and genuine documents and information.
- Respond to OTP, signature and verification requests on time.
- Pay taxes and government dues that fall on your business.
Nature of service
Our information is general and is not legal or tax advice unless provided by a licensed professional in writing.
Governing law
Laws of India. Courts at Thrissur, Kerala have jurisdiction.
Cancellation and refund policy
These terms apply to every service and package. Your written quote may add terms specific to your work.
Cancelling before work starts
If you cancel within 24 hours of payment and before we have started work on your file, we refund the professional fee, minus payment processing charges. After 24 hours, or once work has started, the professional fee is not refundable.
When work counts as started
Work starts when we begin reviewing your documents, run a name or trademark search, prepare an application, or start setting up a marketplace account or listings.
Government and third-party fees
Government fees, stamp duty and other third-party costs are not refundable once paid, whatever the outcome.
Decisions by authorities and platforms
Approvals are decided by government departments, IP India, Amazon, Flipkart and other platforms. A rejection, objection, delay or extra document request from them is not a reason for a refund. If an application is rejected because of an error on our part, we will re-file it without charging our professional fee again; any fresh government fee is payable by you.
Delays on your side
If we can't proceed because documents, approvals or OTPs are not provided for 60 days, we will close the file and no refund is due. You can ask us to reopen it later; a fresh quote may apply.
Marketplace packages and listings
Once account setup, listings, product content or images have been started, package fees are not refundable. Sales, rankings and marketplace performance depend on factors outside our control and are not grounds for a refund.
Recurring services
GST filing and annual compliance can be stopped at any time with written notice before the next period starts. Fees for the current period are not refundable.
How refunds are paid
Approved refunds are paid to the original payment method within 7 working days of approval. To request a refund, write to ceo@ecomtaxy.com with your invoice number.
Contact and grievances
If something has gone wrong, tell us. We acknowledge complaints within 48 hours and aim to resolve them within one month.
